Rachael completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University. While a student, she found her love of working with patients with neurological disorders when she worked as an OT-technician for 3 years at the NeuroMedical Center in Baton Rouge. Rachael then completed her Masters of Science in occupational therapy at LSUHSC-Shreveport in 2016. She completed her fieldwork at Baylor T. Boone Pickens Cancer hospital where worked in acute care with patients diagnosed with cancer and other neurological disorders. She has experience working in a multitude of settings including acute care, inpatient rehab, skilled nursing facility, home health, and outpatient rehab.
In addition to her OT practice, she has completed her 200-hour Yoga Alliance Certification in 2014 and an additional 100-hours of Advanced Yoga Teacher Training with Level 1 Intensive Meditation training with her teachers in Bali, Indonesia in May 2018. Rachael has also received 36-hours of Prenatal Yoga training. Rachael enjoys incorporating aspects of yoga - breathwork and mindfulness - into her OT practice. Outside of her work, Rachael enjoys meditating, playing music, and being with her family.
